Position
- AVL Supervisor
- Year Round, Part Time Hourly Position
- Huntsville, Ontario, Canada
Responsibilities
- Provide professional AVL (Audio, Visual, Lighting) services to guests on a year-round basis
- In the spring and summer, lead and mentor a team of Summer Students, as well as participating in the hiring process for summer students for AV Roles
- Be an encouragement to visiting musicians
- Ensure professional interaction with all internal and external guests
- Manage AVL Equipment and infrastructure for all areas of MBC (Chapel, Meeting Rooms, etc)
- Recommend, source and install AVL Equipment
- Set up AVL Equipment to meet guest groups needs in the non-summer season, working with Group Rentals Coordinators and guest groups to ensure the unique needs of each group are met or exceeded.
- Ensure all A/V gear is well maintained and ready for use
- Monitor use and storage of all equipment
Hours of Work
- Evening and Weekend work will be required
Compensation
- Hourly pay, plus 4% vacation pay
- Staff discounts, meals and uniforms as per our Staff Handbook
Education
- Post Secondary training in AVL is preferred but not required
Experience
- Leadership - planning, communication oversight of staff
- Proven abilities to run a sound board and achieve a solid mix with multiple musicians and vocalists
- Proficient with video cameras, video mixing, recording and live streaming
- Experience with lighting needs and lighting control
- Proven ability to troubleshoot a complex AVL System

- Working in a Christian Service ministry requires a high standard of personal integrity and lifestyle. Each staff member working at MBC will be expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct.
